The Ray and Altitude share a unified vision to accelerate the decarbonization of the transportation sector. Our partnership addresses critical challenges faced by transportation agencies as they plan for the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), particularly for medium and heavy-duty commercial fleets. 

By leveraging Altitude by Geotab’s robust telematics data, The Ray provides invaluable insights into commercial vehicle travel patterns, enabling a data-driven approach to identify optimal locations and designs for high-powered EV charging and hydrogen fueling infrastructure. This collaboration is crucial for building the resilient and efficient infrastructure needed to support a sustainable future.

Building on our foundational fleet electrification studies, which demonstrated how real truck movement data can guide state DOTs in planning EV infrastructure along interstates, our partnership has evolved to include practical applications, such as the Freight Electrification Clinics. These clinics provide state agencies with the tools and knowledge to strategically deploy charging stations, aligning with initiatives such as the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. Through this work, we empower agencies to make informed decisions that not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the freight sector but also ensure the seamless integration of electrification into our nation’s transportation network.
